Sorry for my lack of updates! I’m currently away on a summer break!
Flight plan: Tokyo → Singapore → Paris → Copenhagen → Malmo → Berlin → Moscow → Tokyo
I am so looking forward to going around the cities for inspiration and brainstorming for the new season. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on places to visit!

Right before I left, I made a DIY camera strap, something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. So glad I managed to materialize this before leaving my apartment for about a month!

I used my favorite Tshirt-kun silkscreen paint to dye my fabric.

And masking tape to mask out pattern and ensure straight lines.

With a sponge, I dabbed the paint and dyed fabric.

Bondo Handmade Art Store

A few weeks ago I was walking around Kichijoji and was delighted to stumble upon a very interesting looking store in a back alley. I went in and had a nice chat with the owner, Yuichi Murakami who was very friendly and told me a bit about the background of the store. The name ‘Bondo’ came from the idea of bonding and connecting people around the world. Only about a year old, the store carries a fine collection of handmade products by upcoming Japanese artists and craftsmen. All the products are carefully handpicked by the stylish owner and his wife who both have extremely good taste. As a person who loves ceramics, I was taken away by all the great pieces by artist Takuro Kuwata. From using fruit crates for wall display to converting an elementary school cabinet to a jewelry display case, the shop interior sure has a very raw and unique handmade feel to it.
