Garibaldi station- where we stayed (in a tiny apartment). Also where Corso Como is located.
Our main purpose was to visit Macef Interior home show and lifestyle stores for market research. Somehow I found myself paying more attention to the old buildings, mosaic tiles and graffiti than the new Italian designs. Best places we visited were Triennale di Milano and Corso Como. Definitely worth visiting if you happen to be in Milan!
When we first arrived at Venice, we were lost for about an hour before we found our hotel that was located at one of the quaint back-alleys. Venice is like a beautiful maze and it was a wonderful experience getting lost there. Walking around and seeing the place as it was 600 years ago was surreal and it felt like I was entering a Ghibli animation or a movie set. I was mesmerized by its romantic charm. It’s nice to know that a place so beautiful and rich in culture still exists. Would definitely like to go back again to visit the surrounding islands and see the less touristy areas.
Back from Italy! These are some really cute & colorful pasta I got from Venice. How lovely are they! I’ve seen similar ones in Japan before but this shop had a very wide range of colorful pasta in all shapes and sizes! Amazing! Venice was like a dream! It must be one of the most beautiful places I have been to. I’ll definitely have to go back again. Will upload some pictures soon!
I’m off to Milan tomorrow! Will be attending the Macef Milano International Home Show and doing market research on the interior trends in Italy. Not the best time to visit but I’m quite excited as it’s my first time in Italy. Hope I’ll survive the cold! Will try to update whenever I’ve a chance to. Ciao, Ci vediamo!
