Tegamisha Book & Coffee Cafe

Spend an afternoon in a quiet neighbourhood of Chofu city at one of Tokyo’s alternative book cafe, Tegamisha (手紙舎カフェ), locataed just 30 minutes away from Shinjuku. With tastefully curated shelves of books and zines on art, craft and lifestyle, it’s one place you should come by if you’re in Tokyo.

There is a little cozy cafe at the back of the store, or upstairs at Level 2 where you can enjoy a good cup and cake while you read a book, or have a go at their daily food menu.

Tegamisha has a great selection of zakka by Japanese craftsmen that we love! And they also organise a craft market called Nominoichi that we will talk about in our next post.

Singapore Dessert Collection

Singapore Dessert Collection

We will be at The little dröm store on 1st November (Sunday), to launch our Singapore Dessert Collection, a collaboration series with The Little Drom Store. We started talking about this project since last November and are so excited to finally share it with you! Do drop by if you are in town! Let’s have a chat about our favourite Singapore Desserts this Sunday!

ICE KA-CHAN
Meet Ice-Ka-Chan, inspired by the popular Singapore dessert ‘Ice Kachang’ made of shaved ice, assorted beans, jelly and colorful syrup!

TANG YUAN
This is Tang Yuan, inspired by one of my favorite desserts as a kid. It is a traditional Chinese dessert made of glutinous rice flour rolled into little balls and served in a sweet soup.

Photo credit: The Little Drom Store they did such an amazing job! And special thanks to Hello Sandwich – Ebony and Kat for helping with the photo shoot at the Hawker Centre (1st pic) when they were visiting Singapore!

Malto

Another cute shop in Koenji. Malto is a lifestyle store that carries European antique-style household products. I was surprised how affordable some of the items are. They have also successfully converted a old Japanese house into a charming interior shop.
