This is OTSUZUMI from our Hinamatsuri collection recently showcased at Japan Creative Centre in Singapore. Hinamatsuri, also known as Girl’s Day or Doll’s day in Japan, is celebrated on the 3rd of March. Hina-dolls are displayed on platforms to wish for the good health and well-being of girls in the family. Here's our interpretation of the traditional dolls and their stories. We hope you like it!
OTSUZUMI plays the large Japanese hand drum at the imperial palace. He is part of the 'Goninbayashi' band and performs on the third platform. He has been in the band for many years and is like a big brother to everyone.
