The Chado experience will be conducted by our friend Megumi Ikeda who has been practicing Chado since she was 3 years old. Megumi has been living in Singapore for the past 3 years but this will be her first Chado workshop! Her deep knowledge and passion for Japanese tea ceremony has enabled us to come with a Polkaros style Chado experience. We hope to make Chado more accessible and easily enjoyed in the every day life along with carefully handcrafted ceramics.
You will experience being the host and guest at the tea ceremony. Each participant will get to enjoy a wagashi from Aichi prefecture and a bowl of matcha. You will also get to make 1 x chawan at this workshop. The foot ring will be trimmed by us after the workshop. Fee includes glazing and firing. You works will be ready for collection in 5-6 weeks' time.
This workshop is suitable for 16 yrs old and above.
