Yakimono Cup 12 (S)
Yakimono Cup 12 (S)
'Yakimono' means 'fired thing' in Japanese and is also a term used to refer to pottery.
This series of cups is inspired by my trip to Mashiko in summer this year. Mashiko is a pottery town in Japan where many potters live and create pottery. The beautiful handmade works rekindled my love for the craft. When staying at my friend Hiki's traditional Japanese home, I was served coffee in a very petite handmade cup and it was such a lovely experience. I hope to share that magical moment through this series when you enjoy your beverage of your choice in this cup.
Each cup in this series is carefully handpinched and sculpted from speckled clay in a warm, natural tan. One of a kind.
This cup can hold approx. 100ml of liquid.
